Phoebe Bridgers & Arlo Parks team up for haunting cover of Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees’

Whoever’s pulling the strings behind the scenes at BBC Radio 1 has certainly earned their wage this week, uniting two of contemporary indie music’s brightest talents in Phoebe Bridgers and Arlo Parks for a haunting cover version of Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees’.

A surprising but impeccably well-suited choice of song to lend their emotive, insular vocals to, Bridgers and Park strip back the track to sparse, cavernous piano and vocals whilst performing inside a cathedral. It’s a truly spine-tingling rendition showcasing both artists have transcended their bedroom beginnings and warrant every bit of praise they’re generating at present.

Parks also joined Bridgers for a modest version of ‘Kyoto’ from her recent, and critically lauded album Punisher
