Life, for obvious reasons, has been very different this year. From the comfort of twelve months ago I doubt we’d have foreseen facemasks being the norm, working from home (for those fortunate enough at least) commonplace, hand sanitiser aplenty, the wealth gap and racial injustices being made more apparent than ever, festivals and gigs being completely cancelled with no real end in sight. But, we digress. It is what it is.
2020 hasn’t been all doom and gloom, however, because music has been our constant. And the irreplaceable chasm that the lack of live music didn’t deter up-and-coming artists from plugging away and continuing to release new sounds from the comfort of their own homes, soundtracking our every high and every low.
